Angel Baskets - Dove Creek / Egnar Food Bank

Angel Baskets has grown from a single holiday program founded in 1981 to provide food and gifts for eight local families to four programs serving hundreds of financially strapped families in San Miguel County, the west-end of Montrose County and the Dove Creek area of Dolores County. Through its many volunteers, Angel Baskets has successfully established unique and direct channels of distribution to qualified families who need help. Angel Baskets is an all volunteer, 501 (c) 3 organization with no overhead expenses and no paid staff. 100% of the donations received have a direct impact on the lives of the families we serve. Our Mission is to provide food, clothing and necessities to those in our community who are struggling financially. The Food Program provides food to more than 500 people per month through the three regional food banks located in Telluride, Norwood and Dove Creek/Egnar. Angel Baskets also supplements the Nucla/Naturita Food Bank. Due to limited resources, families are restricted to a once a month visit and are provided up to five days worth of meals per individual per month.
