Bangor Ecumenical Food Cupboard

The Bangor Ecumenical Food Cupboard has been serving the hungry citizens of our city since 1975. Although autonomous from the Hammond St. Congregational Church which houses it, there is a great deal of love and support that comes from this community. We are so grateful to them and to the other churches and organizations in our area which have supported us over the years. We are honored to be the current co-coordinators of a long line of volunteers, without whom this Food Cupboard could not exist. The Food Cupboard is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, except for certain holidays and school snow days. Our doors open at 9:00 AM for our volunteers to set up for the day and accept any donations. We begin registering our clients for the day at 9:30 AM and distribution begins at 10:00 AM. We close promptly at 12:00 Noon and the volunteers leave, after cleanup, by about 12:30PM.
