Description
The Fresh Food Initiative is a local food distribution through Barry County United Way and the Food Bank of SouthCentral Michigan that assists families when the food budget gets a little tight. The only qualifying requirement is that you are in need of a little extra food that week; the doors open at 8:30 a.m.(bring a box to carry an allocation of food) you will need to sign in with your name, zip code and how many people are in your household. Each household may receive only one allocation of food. After the truck arrives on site, the food is unloaded, sorted, counted and the distribution begins; we are normally finished by 10:00 a.m.
