We Are... A food and meal provider for qualified clients; 36,000 meals in 2013; A soup kitchen providing lunch and fellowship to, on average, 20 citizens a day; A provider of meals to low income senior citizen housing areas; A meal provider for the homebound who can't prepare their own meals; A co-sponsor with Southington Schools of school breakfast program; A collaborator with Southington Community Services Food Pantry; A provider of summer meals for low income children; A place for volunteers; Kids Who Care. A youth volunteer program that gets children involved in our mission; A promoter to raise awareness of the needs in our own community; Bread for Life is a non-profit, 501 c (3) and a United Way agency. Hot meals are prepared and served at Bread For Life at noon daily, Monday through Friday. We are located in the Friendship Hall behind the Mason's Building, 76 Main Street, Southington, CT. After a nutritious full course meal, from soup to dessert, each client receives a bagged, take-home meal containing a sandwich, fruit, dessert and other food staples when available along with baked goods. Kitchen Hours: 8AM to 12.45PM Mon-Fri
