Description

Matthew 25:45 quotes Jesus as saying "Verily I say unto you, in as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." In 1989, Burlington Assembly of God began making plans for what would become The Caring Kitchen. The Good Shepherd Kitchen, one of Burlington's main soup kitchens, only serves lunch Monday through Friday. Thus, we felt the need to provide a hot lunch on the weekends to the homeless, low-income, and the shut-ins of the Burlington area. The kitchen opened for the first time in January 1990 and the first meals were served. Meals Served: Saturday: 11:30AM-12:30PM, Sunday: 12:30PM-1:30PM.

Gary: My department at work has collected can food/dry food items and are trying to figure out where we can deliver these food items to. Can you advise if you all take donations? If so what are the hours that items can be dropped off?
