Description

CAPECO has several food programs which assist those in need across our four county service area: Umatilla, Morrow, Gilliam, and Wheeler counties. Each program serves different populations and has specific eligibility guidelines. Please refer to each specific program for more information. CAPECO serves as the Regional Food Bank for Oregon Food Bank which supplies USDA commodities and donated food to area food banks, meal site programs, and three no-kill animal shelters. The Oregon Food Bank ships USDA commodities and donated food to our 10,000 square ft. warehouse and then we distribute the product to the local member agencies. In addition, CAPECO acquires local donations through numerous events, such as: State Employees Food Drive, Letter Carriers Food Drive, schools, youth clubs, churches and from local food industry companies.
