Description
Christ Church's primary service to the poor centers around the church food pantry started more than 15 years ago. This ministry places our church in the midst of the community. Civic and religious organizations as well as individuals help provide donations of food and labor to prepare the food for distribution. Volunteers of all ages help shop, shelve, organize, and prepare the food. As an advocate for the hungry we are a partner agency with American Second Harvest of the Big Bend. Financial support comes from individual and group donations and grants requiring us to comply with federal guidelines and keep an accurate account of all funds. Food Distribution: Last Friday of the Month, Time: 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
