Community Kitchen Moberly

Community Kitchen was organized over lunch on January 13, 2011, when 13 individuals sharing a vision of feeding people met to discuss their ideas. This meeting resulted in the birth of Community Kitchen. The name "Community Kitchen" was chosen because it encompasses more than a soup kitchen. The intent is to provide food and fellowship for anyone, a welcoming place to come and get to know your neighbors. Although the intent is to serve the needy, Community Kitchen does not screen the patrons and welcomes anyone who comes through the door. The food is free, however, donations are accepted. More than 15 local churches, several businesses, organizations and individuals prepare and serve food. We serving healthy home cooked meals to approximately 150 guests twice a week.
