Description
The Caring Center strives to provide services to individuals in need of spiritual, physical and/ or emotional support in the name of Jesus. Each week the Caring Center provides food, clothing, household items, furniture and financial assistance to those in need. A volunteer staff of more than 50 individuals helps to carry out the Center's mission. We come in contact with a variety of situations - financial stress, homeless, substance abuse, victims of domestic violence, burn-out victims, elderly, and transient. In 2012, the Caring Center registered 9,736 adults, distributed 76 tons of food to 3,359 families, provided $58,381.20 in direct financial assistance and provided Christmas for 159 children. The Barnabas ministry also assisted 36 individuals with obtaining employment.
