The Care Center has been an active ministry of First Baptist since 1974. The Care Center still exists because there are needs in this community that still need to be met. The mission statement expresses that purpose, "The First Baptist Church Care Center exists in this community to love and minister through feeding the hungry, clothing the naked and reaching and teaching ‘the least of these'." The scripture that is our foundation is found in Matthew 25:40, which says this: "Then the King will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, anything you did for even the least of my people here, you also did for me.
