Twice a month the FUMC of Wauchula provides groceries to needy families. Approximately 150 packages containing canned goods, meat, and other staples are distributed each month. Our major distributions are the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. Singular distributions are made throughout the month on an as needed basis. Most of the food is purchased with money provided by FUMC Wauchula and by private donations. In addition, members of the congregation are encouraged to bring canned goods and other non-perishables. While the people wait for their food, our pastor and praise leader provide a short time of worship and music in order to attend to their spiritual needs as well as their physical needs.
