Description

The Good Samaritan Center assists needy families in the Douglasville area with utility bills, prescriptions, food, and spiritual counsel. We are a food bank / emergency assistance center for Douglas County residents. Started in 1983, seven local churches partnered together to refer individuals to a central location. The intent was to best serve those in need, and to reduce the number of individuals seeking assistance from multiple churches. Having one location also created the ability to monitor needs and refer people to other resources.
