The Greensburg Community Bread of Life has gone through many changes since opening in August of 2002, however our mission has always remained the same: to work together as a community to provide a free hot meal to those in need. Through this mission we have been able to reach out to many. Currently we serve over 2,500 meals a month and we added a third day to our schedule in January 2011. In July 2014 we served our 200,000 meal since opening. We continue to rescue food from local businesses and organizations and recently we have joined forces with Gleaner's Food Bank giving us the ability to rescue more food and distribute it to other agencies fighting hunger in our surrounding area.
