Description

The Haight Ashbury Food Program (HAFP) was founded in San Francisco in 1983 as a neighborhood response to hunger. The Haight Ashbury Food Program currently operates a weekly Pantry Program in partnership with the San Francisco Food Bank. Weekly farmers´ market-style distribution allows clients to select the foods that best meet their families´ needs. From fresh fruits and vegetables to bread and rice, each client receives much-needed, nutritious foods that are otherwise not affordable. The Pantry operates between 12pm and 2pm every Saturday, except when a Saturday is followed by a Monday holiday (when the Food Bank is closed for deliveries).
