New Harmony has been supporting soup kitchens in South Africa for several years. During a mission trip to South Africa, Mike and Ahleesha Elwood began getting a vision for a soup kitchen in Dent County where physical and spiritual needs could be met with food and the Gospel. HIS Soup Kitchen is the realization of that vision. Seeing this vision through has involved many people from multiple churches in the community of Salem donating their time, talents, and resources. Because of the Lord's generosity, what was once a restaurant called My Place was renamed to His Place. His Soup Kitchen will serve every Friday at 5:30pm.
