Description
HUNGER & THIRST MINISTRIES was established in 2004 and served seven people a meal. The ministry's first location was at Word Of Life Church at 411 W. Benton and was there for two years. The ministry later moved into the old Health Department Building located at 300 E. Main, which is across from Allen's corporate offices, and we were there for two years. In October of 2008 we moved to 600 E. Main which was located across from G&S Shoe's, and we were there for about two years. In 2010 we moved to our current location at 3298 E. Kenwood. In the beginning our only donations were from Little Debbie's and Allen's Canning Company. With each move the ministry has made, we have moved into a bigger place, and HUNGER & THIRST MINISTRIES has grown each time. With each move there has been a change in volunteers, and we continue to be blessed gaining new people to help with the ministry. The ministry currently serves approximately 700 meals per week.
