The JUMC Food Pantry is open every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the third Thursday of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. If Ashe County Schools are closed, the Food Pantry will be open the next day that school is in session. We generally serve between 30 and 50 families every week. Our Pantry started in 2005. We are a partner with Second Harvest Food Bank in Winston-Salem and approximately 75% of our food comes from them. The rest comes from Federal food assistance, the church budget and donations.
