Lyons Community Food Pantry

Provides nondenominational food assistance to anyone in need within the greater Lyons area. Located in the basement of Lyons Community Church. Open every Wednesday afternoon from 3:30 - 5:00. Established in 2008, the pantry distributed pre-boxed, nonperishable foods but several years later changed to a grocery store model of distribution where recipients select the items they need based on the size of their household. In 2009 the pantry became a member agency of Community Food Share and expanded to provide both perishable and nonperishable items including frozen meat, dairy, produce and bread. The pantry is managed primarily by volunteers. Donations are gladly accepted and much appreciated!
