Description
For several years now McLaurin Heights UMC has maintained a food pantry on site. We serve over 2,000 people per year, donating over 50 lbs of food per family per month. Our volunteers are happy to serve the mission of the food pantry, which is: To relieve poverty related to hunger in our service area by distributing donated and purchased food products from our church family and the MS Food Network. Our food comes from the MS Food Network, food drives from local church and school groups and is bought through donations received. The food pantry operates three days a week (Tue-Thur). People can call 601-939-2163 on Tue or Wed between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.for pickup on the following day. There are NO walk-ins accepted.
