Neighbors in Need is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization serving people in crisis in Madison County, NC since 1981. Neighbors in Need assists primarily with food, heat and utilities. We serve with an all volunteer staff and board of directors. We are funded by contributions from churches, individuals and fund raising events. More than 99% of the funds raised go directly to those in need; less than 1% goes to operating expenses which includes post office box rental, banking fees and our license to solicit contributions. Marshall Presbyterian Church donates the space for our organization. Neighbors in Need is located at 165 S Main Street, Marshall, NC. Our mailing address is PO Box 64, Marshall, NC 28753. We are open from 1:00-3:00 each Tuesday.
