The New Richland Area Food Shelf is sponsored by 13 churches in the New Richland-Hartland-Otisco-Waldorf-Matawan MN area. Various volunteers throughout the community make up the NRAFS staff; these volunteers help distribute groceries to those in need. Several times a year, the volunteers at NRAFS host fundraising events in the community to collect donations from area residents. There is a collection bin at Wagner's Foods in New Richland for donations of non-perishable groceries.
