Description

The People First Food Pantry is committed to providing families in the communities of Uxbridge, North Uxbridge and Linwood in need of food assistance. Our day-to-day operations are supported by over 60 volunteers. We serve over 3,000 clients each year and average upwards of 130 households per month. People First Food Pantry families receive a solid week's worth of pre-packed boxes full of non-perishable foods such as pasta, sauce, cereal, vegetables, soups, as well as frozen foods, and paper goods and personal care items. We also provide our neighbors with a wealth of information about other services, such as WIC Program, Dept. of Transitional Assistance (FoodStamps/SNAP), and other agencies that help our families in their time of need. Our community program involvement also includes annual food drives, the crop walk fundraiser, a backpack and school supply drive, and Easter Ham drive, Thanksgiving and Christmas meal distribution, and a holiday gift program. Hours of Operation: Wednesdays 11 AM -1 PM and Wednesday evenings 6:30 PM -8 PM; Tuesdays 4 PM-6 PM to service families, open 7 PM-8 PM to accept donations.

Colleen: Hi, would like to be able to donate by sending a check to help out. Where would I send the donation to and who would it be made payable to? I have a friend who volunteers for you sometimes. And would like to do this for her and to help. Thank you
