Description
The Purchase Area Development District is a partnership organization that offers support to city and county governments in the 8-county region of Western Kentucky. We provide opportunities for community leaders to gather, share common concerns, and create innovative approaches to local and regional challenges. The Commodity and Food Bank Programs provide food and non-food products to underprivileged individuals and families in the Purchase Area. Products are distributed through non-profit organizations such as needlines, food pantries, and community kitchens. These programs are funded federally through the US Department of Agriculture, shared maintenance donations from participating organizations, and public and private donations.
