Description

In a high-cost neighborhood like the Richmond District, it can be a real challenge to make ends meet. People from all over our neighborhood, including hard-working people with low wage jobs, can find themselves unable to afford all the food they need. Children, seniors, unemployed and low-wage workers make up the majority of those struggling with hunger. Thanks to our partnership with the San Francisco Food Bank, we provide over 200 Richmond District residents each week with free produce and groceries through our youth and volunteer-run Food Pantry. To receive food, you must demonstrate proof of residency in the 94121 zip code. The Food Pantry takes place every Thursday from 2:30-5:00 pm.
