Sand Mountain UMC - Tri-State Food Pantry

The Tri-State Food Pantry is an ecumenical mission ministry of Sand Mountain United Methodist Church in cooperation with other churches in the area. Serving all of Dade County, Georgia and the northeast portion of Jackson County, Alabama, the pantry is the largest operation of its kind in the Chattanooga Food Bank service area. Clients of the Tri-State Food Pantry are qualified according to USDA poverty guidelines. Services are available to all who meet the qualifications and who live within the service area. To sign up, you will need to report in person during distribution. Food is distributed on the first and third Friday of each month between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. On each day that food is distributed, we hold a short worship service inside the food pantry at 2:30 p.m. There will be a little singing, a devotional by the pastor and more often than not, we close with communion. Anyone who wishes to take part is welcome to join us.
