Scituate Food Pantry

The mission of The Scituate Food Pantry is to provide food to eligible residents of Scituate Massachusetts. The Scituate Food Pantry is a 501C non-profit organization sponsored by the Scituate Clergy Association. To be eligible for this assistance, a person needs to be a resident of the town and meet basic income guidelines. Our all-volunteer staff distributes the food from a facility generously provided by the Satuit Lodge of Masons. The Pantry works with churches, clubs, schools and individuals throughout the town to bring awareness of the issue of hunger in our community. Since 1993, we have assisted over 500 families totaling approximately 1100 people. Current, The Pantry serves 200+ families who are eligible to receive a monthly order of nutritious non-perishable foods. Special attention is paid to those with dietary restrictions. We distribute extra food during the holidays. At Thanksgiving, we provide the ingredients for a traditional meal, including a turkey, while available. At Christmas, we give clients a $25 gift card for either Stop & Shop, Shaw's or CVS.
