Description
The Scott County Community Clearinghouse is a 3500 square foot building located on Community Drive near the new YMCA and the Life Long Learning Center. It was built in a day through an old fashioned community barn-raiser with over 200 volunteers. There is warehouse space for food storage and distribution, including refrigeration and freezer units. Help is available to assist families in need with food, clothing, housing and other crisis needs, which interfacing with existing systems to provide everyone an avenue to regain or reach self-sufficiency. Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday 9-12, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
