Description
Members and friends of St. John's desire to help those who are in need. Toward the goal of ministering to those who are hungry, the community of St. John's contribute monetary gifts and food items to stock our weekly Thursday morning food pantry - serving residents of Newport. We also belong to the FreeStore Foodbank network and provide emergency financila assistance to individuals and families thorugh a referral program we support at a local service agency, The Brighton Center. Our food pantry space was recently remodeled throgh special gifts in memory of Sue and Peggy, making it more accessible and better organized for our volunteers and clients alike.
