Description

The Bureau County Food Pantry has been in existence for many years. In the past, the food pantry was managed through local church congregations. About 11 years ago, management of the food pantry was turned over to Tri-County Opportunities Council. The pantry now helps a monthly average of 127 households or 315 individuals living in 10 cities (Dover, Kasbeer, Malden, Manlius, New Bedford, Ohio, Princeton, Tampico, Tiskilwa, Van Orin) in Bureau County. The purpose of the pantry is to provided emergency food assistance to people who are experiencing emergency circumstances and do not have enough money to meet their basic food needs.
