Description
The Community Dining Room is open to anyone in need of a meal. Whether it is someone passing through, or a lifelong Anderson resident, each individual can walk in and be fed, no questions asked.* The kitchen and dining room is supported through paid staff, residents and volunteer help. On an average day, 200-250 meals are provided to both residents and walk-ins from the community. Church groups, families, and other interested organizations donate food, volunteer to cook and serve meals, and/or sit down to share a meal with our residents. Your presence and participation in the Community Dining Room ministry helps with the process of gaining understanding, which can eliminate misconceptions and fear. This provides an important bridge in the process of healing and hope for those in need. Breakfast: Monday - Saturday 7:30 a.m., Lunch: Monday - Saturday 12:00 noon, Sunday 1:00 p.m., Dinner: Sunday - Friday 5:00 p.m.
