The North Shore INN

The North Shore INN was founded by volunteers in 1989 when it became apparent that hunger was not limited to developing countries or inner city ghettos, but was right here on Long Island. We are staffed by more than 100 volunteers who serve a hot meal three days a week to hungry people in the Glen Cove area. These dedicated workers cook, serve and clean up after meals. They also work behind the scenes, ordering supplies, writing our newsletter, acknowledging donations, sorting donated clothing, and keeping our books. Our Pick Up People (P.U.P.S) collect donated food every serving day. For the past twenty years this program has been housed in the First Baptist Church of Glen Cove. They have generously provided the North Shore INN with the use of their Fellowship Room, kitchen, and storage space. Serves a hot meal Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 12:00pm-1:00pm
