The Food Pantry intends to address the needs of a multicultural community of immigrants by providing culturally sensitive services such as access to quality food, nutrition classes, wellness activities; as well as, opportunities for community participation. In partnership with the San Francisco Food Bank, the Immigrant Assistance Food Pantry provides over 160 immigrant families with the food they need every week. Cooking healthy meals in their own homes they are able to maintain their independence and a higher quality of life. Organized in a farmers' market-style, clients select the foods that best meet their needs. From fresh fruits and vegetables to bread and rice, each client receives nutritious food that is otherwise unaffordable. Mondays at 9:45am - 11:00am in the Audre Lorde Room (second floor). On-site registration is required every 6 months.
