Description
Our Food Pantry is today one of our largest outreach ministries. It was started in 1993 in a rental storage unit on a shoe-string budget. Today it has its own building with a budget of $40,000 per year with additional support from Food Lion, the North Carolina Food Bank and other outside organizations. Over 250 needy families in Southwestern Moore County are supported with large boxes of food. The Food Pantry is open for distribution every other Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. About 30 church members and friends routinely work in fellowship to make this ministry possible.
