Description
In a world where many are in need, we faithfully respond to God's call to care for the hungry through our Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. Located at 1251 3rd Avenue SE, just a few doors down from the church, the pantry provides a needed resource for our community. Open on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 p.m., over 100 family units come to the pantry to receive groceries that will put food on their tables for the next week. But they also find more than that - a cup of hot coffee or a cool drink (depending on the Iowa weather), a listening ear, and, sometimes, a shoulder to cry on. Through the pantry, we take seriously the call of Jesus to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and care for the least and the lost.
