Description

The Food Shelf and Clothing Closet administers a broad range of emergency, referral and other support services. It is located at Hallie Q. Brown Community Center. The Food Shelf operates on a Client Choice model which allows clients to select what they need to fill their allocation versus being given a pre-package parcel of food that may contain items they are unable to consume. The Clothing Closet provides free clothing and small household items for families. The goal is to assist families in achieving self-sufficiency and self-empowerment, thus reducing their dependency on the food shelf and other services for their health and well-being.
