Hunger drains the resources of the elderly and plagues the family, forcing mothers to sacrifice meals so that their children do not have to. Our food often enables low-income people to stay in their homes, deterring the problem of homelessness, because it saves them from having to make the agonizing choice between paying for rent or food when they can't afford both. Robinson Food Pantry acquires as much food as possible through donations, but we must still purchase food. Most of our money is spent at our local stores. The only portion that is not spent locally is what food we purchase from Eastern Illinois Food Bank in Urbana. We serve the Robinson area - our coverage is everything west of Route 1 to the Jasper County line, Lawrence County Line to the south and Clark County line to the north. HOURS: Mondays and Thursdays from 1pm to 2 pm. We are closed on all Federal Holidays and closed the fifth Monday and Thursday of the month.
