We take Jesus' command to feed the hungry very seriously. Forest Park UMC has a food pantry that is open every Tuesday and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM which serves those living in the 46805 zip code. Clients are asked to provide a photo id and current proof of address and may visit the pantry once a month. A wide variety of food items are available on a regular basis. We receive government commodities and purchase food from Community Harvest Food Pantry. Donations of food items are appreciated, but it is most efficient to give monetary donations as we are able to purchase food from Community Harvest at a much lower cost and in larger quantities. It is not uncommon for us to provide food for 1,000 people per month. In addition to food items we provide coats, hats, gloves, scarves in winter and other clothing and household items are available to provide for those in need.
